Jennifer Pistor is the blogger behind Prairie Girl in the City and she is in fact a prairie girl. She’s always had a love for fashion. In her teenage years, in the Prairies, she modelled on both the runway and in print. Jennifer was also involved in hair modelling and had the opportunity to travel to destinations like New York, Germany, France, and other places around the world. This opened her eyes to so much more.
In her early twenties she was drawn to the beauty and big city lights of Vancouver. She decided to educate herself in the industry she loves so much and took a Fashion Merchandising course in Vancouver. Jennifer fell in love with the city and decided to make it home. Over the years she has dabbled in different parts of the industry…modelling, fashion show production, retail, buying, styling, jewelry design, and anything else she could find related to the industry.
So, in late 2009 she started Prairie Girl in the City as an outlet to share her creativity and have an open dialogue with others about fashion, shopping, and all things pretty. She believes that fashion is for everybody regardless of your shape, size, or budget. Jennifer hopes to inspire women to love who they are and to embrace their fabulous selves everyday.
